What’s New About the NNAT Test?

January 05, 2014 0 Comments

The Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test, or the NNAT, is an assessment which measures a student’s ability to reason and solve problems in a non-verbal format. Initially released in 2004, this test now has two additional versions. One of those versions is the NNAT2, or the second edition of the assessment.

Although very similar in content, the second edition of the NNAT has 48 questions whereas the original version had only 38.

A more significant difference is that the NNAT 2 is also available in an online format. The 2004 version was available in only a pencil and paper format. The second edition of the NNAT offers the pencil and paper test but offers the same evaluation in online version. Both versions of the NNAT 2 take approximately 30 minutes to complete and can be administered by nearly any education professional. The test is available in seven different levels to effectively cover Kindergarten through grade 12.
